India : KCR failed to fulfil promise: CITU
Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) president Chukka Ramulu has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has failed to keep his promise of regularisation of services of contract workers
and employees.
Mr. Ramulu was here to extend support to the ongoing agitation by the second ANMs at the district hospital for the past few days.
On the night of August 10 they remained in the hospital and held ‘vanta vaarpu’ programme.
“Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao made so many promises but nothing was fulfilled by his government. These ANMs need to be paid a salary of Rs. 21,000 per month, but the Government was not responding to their pleas,” he told reporters.
“The ANMs will continue their agitation for a just cause and we will extend support till the demands are met,” reiterated Mr. Ramulu. Trade union leader B. Mallesh and others were also present.
