Canada : Labour Day Events Across the Province
This Labour Day, join the hundreds of trade union members and others at Labour Day events in communities across Nova Scotia. Labour Day is more than just a great day
to get together with friends and family. It is also a day to celebrate the important contributions union workers have made to our economy and to our communities. The work that union members do each day in our workplaces in both the private and public sector makes our communities strong.
I want to take the time and say that in our province that our unions and their leadership work very close together. That relationship between us makes us strong, it gives us results that benefit all workers and their families. The recent CPP improvements are a good win, our decent wages make a string local economy, our fight for safer workplaces will continue as will our fights for better pension and retirement benefits.
Together, working people built Canada’s middle class and created a country with fairness as one of its fundamental values. Workers like you and me need to stand together and spread the message because no one else is going to do that for us.
You don’t want to miss this great opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments.
