India : Bonus pacts for various sectors

The government has reached a settlement on bonus with workers in various sectors on Tuesday. As per the pact struck between Tourism Minister A.C. Moideen and recognised trade unions, the

performance-linked incentive of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation employees has been increased from Rs.7,600 last year to Rs.9,100. Employees who got Rs.10,000 last year would get Rs.11,500 this year. The bonus for trainees would be Rs.4,000. Bonus for cleaning workers too has been fixed at Rs.4,000. The Minister assigned corporation managing director Balamurali to take a decision on the festival advance for contract workers.

Textile sector

Kerala State Textile Employees Federation said in a release here that Industrial Relations Committee on Textiles had decided to give a bonus of Rs.7,000 as per the amended Bonus Act following discussions held with Industries Minister E.P. Jayarajan and Labour Minister T.P. Ramakrishnan.

Minister for Law and SC/ST Welfare A.K. Balan said in a release here that the festival allowance of members of the Kerala Advocates Clerks Welfare Fund Board had been increased from Rs.500 to Rs.1,500.

The Kerala State Electricity Board would get a bonus of Rs.7,000 and other employees a festival allowance of Rs.2,400 each. Onam advance for all employees had been fixed at Rs.15,000, he said.
